Our family arrived in Eugene in 1973. One daughter attended Lincoln School and the other Roosevelt. We got bikes, explored jogging, and swam at Jefferson Pool. I was active in the formation of the Friendly Area Neighbors.
Occasions arise when I question city decisions. Would an independent city auditor help? A storm blew the roof off the Jefferson Pool. The insurance money was not used to replace it. We never got another pool. The Lincoln School was open for new uses. Why choose high cost studio apartments? …
